The Business Accreditation Seminar has undergone a significant transformation in its format! Experienced facilitators will lead you through an immersive case study, enabling you to enhance your skills by actively exploring the accreditation standards and their practical application to a case institution.
Focusing on the 2020 Ó£ÌÒµ¼º½ accreditation standards, the seminar will provide you with the knowledge and resources to avoid common challenges in the accreditation process. Learn what is important and expected at each stage of the accreditation process through thoughtful group interactions as you explore the standards with a hands-on approach.
Please note this seminar requires pre-work before each day of the seminar. There is a total of about four hours to read and prepare for the cases used in the seminar.
Learning Objectives
- Discover the purpose and philosophy of accreditation and the Ó£ÌÒµ¼º½ guiding principles
- Review the nine 2020 Ó£ÌÒµ¼º½ Standards in depth to understand how they build on each other and assure quality at the school
- Learn the importance of quality and continuous improvement, supported by engagement, innovation and impact
- Gain an understanding of the initial and continuous improvement review processes
- Build a network of peers and have an opportunity to ask questions
Facilitator
Frank Ghannadian, The University of Tampa
Dr. Frank Ghannadian is the Dean of the John H. Sykes College of Business and Professor of Finance at the University of Tampa. He became Dean in July of 2007 where he presently overseas 120 plus faculty and staff in six departments of the college Dr. Ghannadian has done extensive consulting for both the private sector and the public sector in his over 30 years of academic and business experience. He has consulted with telecommunications companies, public utilities, and assisted with management of local government funds. He currently serves on several advisory boards in the Tampa Bay area and serves on the Initial Accreditation Committee (IAC) of Ó£ÌÒµ¼º½.
Rachel Dixon-Zudar, Accreditation Consultant
Rachel Dixon-Zudar served as senior manager, accreditation at Ó£ÌÒµ¼º½ International, managing a portfolio of approximately 180 business schools throughout the United States and South America. Rachel’s background includes positions in marketing as well as previously working in the conferences department of Ó£ÌÒµ¼º½. She holds an MBA in Strategy from The University of Alabama.
